Customer Support: Ada Compliance

New England Medical SystemsSystems values the commitment and dedication of the nation's health professionals, school teachers, aides and administrators. We know that much of the nation's school and healthcare infrastructure is more than 30 years old: and this sometimes makes it difficult to comply with the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Even buildings constructed since 1992, the year the Act became effective, should undergo periodic review. Changes in programs, policies or equipment may leave an institution or a community unknowingly out of compliance.

New England Medical Systems provides ADA compliance expertise, and will perform a thorough site survey, identifying the compliance issues that expose providers to litigation. The resulting confidential report identifies and prioritizes any deficiencies, and includes the building, grounds, and an evaluation of policies and procedures: all of which are susceptible to ADA scrutiny.

The survey is conducted using the Americans with Disabilities Accessibilities Guidelines (ADAAG): the standard adopted by the Department of Justice in ADA enforcement actions.
